THE WEEK IN A NUTSHELL!
WE HAD A STELLAR WEEK
THE MALE HOSTEL- This week has been a growth-filled moment for The Chrisland Times. Our piece on the N.C.C ( The NACOS Chrisland Chapter) has been one of our most critical on student-run organizations within this school, apart from the Student Council.
We have gotten a lot of backlash from the organization since then. We’ve had them send their media team to come and have us take down the piece. We’ve had them send threatening people to suppress our journalistic integrity. No one was harmed.
This shows, that when you hold people or institutions to account, they start reacting. And we are happy with that. We want these bodies to know one thing, they serve at the mercy of the Student body, the people The Chrisland Times seeks to enlighten and inform.
We’ve gotten our podcast team ready and will be posting the first episode soon. We’ve also set up an investigative journalist team to help us find credible news to report to the Student body.
Our subscriber numbers are up nearly 25 percent and our average view per piece had gone up 50 percent. That’s growth. And we are proud of it.
